Researching the Cleveland Grand Prix book was like taking part in a treasure hunt. Some of the discoveries came from local historical societies that helped fill in the history holes. In trying to locate some of the photos from 1965 I visited Cleveland State University, which holds the archives from the now defunct Cleveland Press. The Press covered horse sports well and had some super photos, but none of them had been saved after they went out of business. I did, however, find some wonderful articles/photos I wanted to share here. They really share a special look at the first Cleveland Grand Prix.
